Biography

Kamilo Nollas, b. Paris, 1968.

Photographer and founder of Vovousa Festival, the only mountain festival in Greece.

He studied still photography in Liège, Lyon and Athens. Based in Athens since 1996, he has been working as a freelance photographer and photography teacher. Works of his belong to public collections (Thessalonica Museum of Photography, Kavala Tobacco Museum, Drama Short Film Festival) and private in Greece, Switzerland, England and Belgium. His first solo show Tobacco Factories (2007), travelled to Paris, Istanbul, Athens and nine other cities in Greece. He received a Fulbright Foundation Art-Scholarship for the year 2009-2010 and spent one year of creative time in New York exploring different mediums of art. In June 2011, he showed his body of work Mobile in NY (curator: Fred Ritchin), at the Benaki Museum, in Athens.

Editor of Photographos magazine and proud of his students, who some of them are now full-time photographers.
